Erasmus+ Project Synergy: EMPOWER and DeSIRe Unite for Entrepreneurship Mini-Lecture

A successful mini-lecture titled “Entrepreneurship Skills: Initiative & Proactivity” was organized as part of the collaborative synergy between two Erasmus+ Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE) initiatives — EMPOWER and DeSIRe.

The session created a valuable international platform for knowledge exchange, demonstrating how Erasmus+ projects can complement one another in strengthening educational innovation and learner competencies.

The lecture focused on essential entrepreneurial skills, encouraging participants to develop initiative, proactive thinking, and innovation-driven problem-solving approaches. Key topics included entrepreneurial mindset development, brainstorming business ideas, market research, business idea validation, business model canvas design, and customer-focused value proposition mapping

A practical case study featuring Airbnb illustrated how successful entrepreneurship often begins with identifying opportunities, taking initiative under uncertainty, and testing ideas through small but strategic actions.

This academic collaboration highlights the growing importance of project synergy in higher education, where shared expertise and cross-project cooperation generate broader impact and sustainable educational outcomes.

The EMPOWER project continues to promote entrepreneurship and employability among women, while DeSIRe contributes to strengthening soft skills development aligned with modern labor market demands.

Together, these initiatives reflect the Erasmus+ vision of fostering inclusive, innovative, and internationally connected higher education ecosystems.
